Defensive Driving and Crash Avoidance
This scholarship is for the Altitude 3 hour Defensive Driving and Crash Avoidance course. It covers the full cost of tuition (typically $179), and is intended for teen drivers of families who otherwise can’t afford the training. We have a limited number of these scholarships available at any given time, and availability is also dependent on course location. - Student must be 15 – 18
- Must have a valid license, or permit with at least 30 hours driving logged
- Must have a vehicle to use for the course
Full Driver Training Scholarship
Application period has ended. We will make an announcement when this scholarship becomes available again.
To the best of our knowledge, this scholarship is the only one of its kind being offered by any driving school in Colorado. It covers the entire cost of driver training*, starting with the 30 hour Drivers Ed course, and ending with the Altitude Driver Safety Foundation 3 hour Teen Defensive Driving and Crash Avoidance course.
The scholarship can be used for basic driver training at any driving school within 15 miles of the location of any Altitude driving course. It is intended for families that have a need for their teen to be a safe, licensed driver, but don’t have the financial means to make it happen. Student must be between 14 1/2 and 16 years of age. This scholarship covers:
- 30 hour Drivers Ed course (in person or online)
- Written Permit Test
- 6 hours Behind-the-Wheel training with instructor
- Driving Test
- Altitude Teen Defensive Driving Course
*Scholarship covers up to $600 for the basic driver training, plus $179 for the AltitudeDSF defensive driving course. Student must have own vehicle for the AltitudeDSF course.
